This problem is addressed in AMSTAR 1 (Q4), AMSTAR 2 (Q4), ROBIS (P2 D1) and MECIR (C12 & C28). Grey literature or unpublished studies such as clinical trial reports, registry data, and conference proceedings should be considered for inclusion in systematic reviews in order to address publication bias, in which positive or significant results tend to be submitted and accepted for publication, can make treatments appear more effective than they are.
