Problem(s) |
Flawed risk of bias undertaken Risk of bias not incorporated into conclusions of review Low methodological (AMSTAR) quality No registered or published protocol Conflicts of interest or funding of included studies not assessed Reasons for excluding potentially eligible studies not provided Lack of prespecification in eligibility criteria |
Number of systematic reviews included | 9 |
Summary of Findings | All 9 included systematic reviews (SRs) were assessed as critically low quality according to the AMSTAR 2 tool. Only 2 (22.2%) of the SRs explain their selection of the study designs for inclusion; none of the reviews provided a list of excluded studies with justifications, nor reported on the sources of funding for the included studies. Five reviews (55.5%) did not report prior protocols.and five reviews (55.5) or did not consider the risk of bias in primary studies when interpreting the results of the review. Four reviews (44.4%) did not use an appropriate method to assess the risk of bias. |
