| Aim | To evaluate the methodological (AMSTAR-2) and reporting quality (PRISMA 2020) of systematic reviews on the efficacy and safety of yoga in treating chronic low back pain. |
| Level of Investigation | Descriptive |
| Summary of Findings | The overall quality of the 13 included systematic reviews (SRs) using AMSTAR-2 showed that only one was rated as high-quality, two as low quality, and the remaining 10 SRs critically low quality. These SRs had deficiencies in the following key areas: 1) 10 SRs (76.9%) did not have registered protocols; 2) only two SRs (15.3%) used comprehensive literature search strategies; 3) 12 SRs (80.0%) did not provide a list of excluded studies with reasons; 4) 5 SRs (38.4%) did not use appropriate tools to assess the risk of bias or considered risk of bias in interpretations. In the non-key items, none of the reviews explained their selection of the study designs for inclusion, only 1 review (7.67%) provided a list of excluded studies and 10 (76.9%) SRs did not report on the sources of funding for the included studies. |
