Aim To assess the association between registration of orthodontic systematic reviews in PROSPERO and review quality with the Assessment of Multiple Systematic Reviews (AMSTAR) tool.

Summary of Findings Registration in PROSPERO was associated with improvements in 5 of the 11 AMSTAR items and a net increase in review quality of about 6.6%. Registered reviews were more likely to cite PRISMA, use GRAD and include a flow diagram of included studies.
