This problem is addressed in PRISMA 2009, PRISMA 2020, AMSTAR 1, AMSTAR 2, ROBIS and MECIR. Systematic reviews should include some form of assessment of scientific quality which can indicate potential risk of bias in the included studies. Systematic reviews may sometimes report that they conducted quality or risk of bias assessments, but not report the results of this exercise.
