Problem(s) |
Lack of prespecification in eligibility criteria Redundant / overlapping / duplicated review question; leads to research waste Conflicts of interest or funding of included studies not assessed Low reporting or methodological quality (OTHER GUIDANCE) |
Number of systematic reviews included | 7 |
Summary of Findings | There were 7 included reviews and despite the slightly different PICOS criteria, tended to include the same primary studies; the degree of overlap was calculated to be 26%which can be interpreted as very high. The AMSTAR 2 assessments showed that 6 out of the 7 (85.7%) reviews were judged "critically low". None of the reviews explained their selection of the study designs for inclusion, and 6 did not report on the sources of funding for the studies. |
