Methods not described to enable replication
Individual study characteristics not reported sufficiently
Low reporting (PRISMA) quality
Number of systematic reviews included 100
Summary of Findings Infrequently reported items in the main reports of included systematic reviews related to protocol registration, characteristics of included studies, results synthesis, and definitions used in data extraction. Infrequently reported items from PRISMA-DTA for the included abstracts were funding information, strengths and limitations, characteristics of included studies, and assessment of applicability. Variability in reporting by country of the corresponding author was identified with Canadian authors demonstrating the most complete reporting, compared with China, which had the lowest number of reported items. Completeness of reporting of studies published in higher impact factor journals reported more items than studies published in lower impact factor journals
Did the article find that the problem(s) led to qualitative changes in interpretation of the results? Not Applicable
Are the methods of the article described in enough detail to replicate the study? Yes
