Summary of Findings | From 6 systematic reviews of photodynamic therapy for root canal disinfection in endodontics indexed across PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, BVS, Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews, Embase, and Epistemonikos, from inception to July 2021. Six systematic reviews were included in the umbrella review and all of them were graded as critically low methodological quality (AMSTAR 2). Most of the included studies did not perform a protocol registration; five reviews included only studies published in English; none of them performed a literature search in grey literature; none of the systematic reviews established the use of a control group with Sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl). |
