Summary of Findings | From a letter to the editor raising concerns in the conduct of a systematic review and meta-analysis on the influence of cognitive behavioural therapy on lumbar spine surgery outcomes published in 2021. Areas of concern were: 1) not searching a sufficient number of databases and a lack of statement about language limitations 2) there was no published protocol 3) there may have some mistakes in assessing the risk of bias in the included studies using the Cochrane Risk of Bias tool and 4) the methods used to account for the source of heterogeneity may not have been appropriate. |
